Our client is an international manufacturer and supplier of specialised machinery and equipment for the meat processing industry. The company leads the world in the innovation and development of meat processing solutions that raise the bar on the hygiene and table quality of retail meat products. At this time we are looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to take on a pivotal role in the customisation and integration of new and existing installations that incorporate this technology into meat processing plants throughout Australia and overseas. On offer is the opportunity for a top performer to join a growth company in a role that will include the programming of control systems, as well as the management of the installation, commissioning and after sales support of new and existing installations. On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to: Work closely with the Design team and overseas based Engineers on Project development and support. Write, modify and interpret PLC programs using all major platforms but predominately Allen Bradley. Design and support of Hardware that supports communications and the transfer of data Hands on activities associated with the testing, installation and commissioning of projects. Provide on-site and remote Technical Support and Training on systems and processes that are linked to automated machinery. Support for onsite trades and contractors. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Support PM program with code adjustments, commissioning and testing of instruments and equipment. Participation in regular Management / Project Management meetings. Some interstate and international travel will be required. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to evidence most or all of the following selection criteria: You are trade or tertiary qualified in an Electrical discipline. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position. Strong PLC, HMI and industry software (ie: MLink, Indusoft, Microsoft etc) programming and troubleshooting skills. A full Electrical or Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect license would be a definite advantage. Experience with systems incorporating compressed air, refrigeration plants, valves, sensors, and pumps would be highly regarded but not essential.
