The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join EnerMech as an Electrical Superintendent on the Snowy Hydro Project — one of Australia’s most iconic infrastructure developments. You’ll work alongside our established team of electricians who have achieved outstanding success on the project to date, contributing to the next phase of delivery. This is fixed term contract starting now until early 2026. Working 2 weeks on 1 week off, allowing work life balance. As the Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee day-to-day site activities and support our electrical team in delivering safe, high-quality work in line with EnerMech’s standards. This hands-on role includes the installation and testing of high-voltage and fibre optic cabling, while coordinating with engineering and leadership teams to ensure operational excellence. Your key responsibilities will include: Regular attendance and participation in safety and toolbox meetings. On-site removal, installation, and fabrication works (both site and workshop-based). General fitting and machining duties. Maintaining equipment in good working order. Preparing and submitting purchase requisitions. Performing minor civil remediation and quality assurance verification. Providing direction and mentorship to trades assistants and apprentices. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality benefits. Working within EnerMech’s Financial and Non-Financial Delegation Authority Matrix. Requirements About You You’re an experienced and safety-focused trades professional who thrives in a dynamic project environment. You take pride in leading by example, supporting your team, and delivering work to the highest standards. Essential qualifications and experience: Trade Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Machining) or relevant trade qualification. National Construction Card – White Card. Police Clearance Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (Car or Heavy Rigid). Working at Hights, Forklift and Confined Space - desirable Demonstrated experience in industrial site or maintenance work – preferably within the Oil & Gas or infrastructure sectors. Ability to operate engineering machinery, hand, power, and measuring tools. Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all procedures and PPE requirements.
