Inspire and influence young hearts and minds Create valuable opportunities outside of the classroom Unique casual role with flexible hours and working arrangements We are seeking a Casual Educator to support children at our OSHC services in Biddabah. You will be required to work across all Newcastle services, being Biddabah, Mayfield West and Valentine. Service operating times vary, with shifts between 6am-9am and 2pm-6pm. We require an availability of a minimum of 3 afternoon shifts per week to be considered for this role. This isn't your typical 9-5 role – and if you bring the dedication, focus and commitment, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a career in education, where you can build a schedule that works for you. About your new role You will provide fun and engaging activities for primary school-age children You will help design a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging program activities Reporting to the Coordinators of our OSHC centres, you will be one of over 200 educators who support children across NSW You will be able to follow our development pathways to learn new skills and build your career About you Y NSW staff love supporting their communities, and our educators innovate learning every day Y NSW OSHC Educators are motivated to develop children outside of the classroom Everyone at the Y NSW ensures that we provide supportive services for families Everyone at the Y NSW is committed to safeguarding and hosting safe learning environments To be successful in this role, you will have Experience supervising and interacting with children Ability to follow safeguarding priorities Availability to supervise Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care hours Current First Aid HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting and CPR Valid Working with Children Check Police Check (paid for by the Y) Y work with us?
