You will be working collaboratively with a variety of cross-functional teams to monitor and assess adherence to data management and governance procedures, focusing on the importance of good quality data to drive business decisions. What’s Involved: Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional teams, the Data Council, business data stewards, technology, and other data streams to monitor and assess adherence to data management and governance procedures, focusing on the importance of good quality data to drive business decisions Assist in defining and improving processes for managing data along its lifecycle; operationalise data management and governance activities, with a focus on sourcing and quality of critical data as well as identification and protection of sensitive data. Support in the creation of policies and controls for the appropriate protection of enterprise data assets through a defined life cycle, from acquisition or creation to end of life destruction and disposal procedures Help monitor data quality, support in the identification of issues and remediation plans, implement data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies with key stakeholders Assist in developing and delivering data governance training as needed to data stewards and other stakeholders Who we’re looking for: Bringing your relationship and stakeholder engagement skills you will be skilled at liaising with all levels of the organisation, building trusted relationships and understanding stakeholder needs. You will support the team in delivering high level advisory services on a range of complex information matters, as well as help in implementing frameworks, polices and processes across the organisation. You’ll Need: Experience in a similar or related role Familiar with data governance concepts, stewardship, data quality Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn Experience with tools such as Data catalogue tools, PowerBi, or similar a plus Tertiary Qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Law, Business or Business Administration (advantageous) You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
