Role details The Informatics and Insights Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity The Data Analyst will contribute to the development of MHHS service planning through research, analysis and interpretation of data and information. To facilitate the use of data and analytics to support a learning organisation by providing access to and presentation of data and analytics (ie graphical representation, dashboards and contextual narratives) to enable clinical decision making and clinical practice change. The Data Analyst will work closely with staff to triage requests, define problems, and develop solutions. The analytics service would be utilised to inform service improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency. About the Team The Informatics & Insights Unit examines large, disparate and multi-modal hospital data sets, and investigates questions that arise with MHHS. IIU makes a key contribution in the achievement of business goals by providing innovative reporting solutions through the use of Business Intelligence Tools and corporate information systems. IIU are also responsible for submitting mandatory and statutory reports.
