CSSD Technician Location: Launceston, TAS, Australia, 7250 Position Type: Permanent – Full-time / Part-time About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and experienced CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterilising Services Department in early 2026 at Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team committed to delivering safe, high-quality sterilisation services that support patient care across the hospital. What You’ll Do As a CSSD Technician, you will play a key role in: Providing effective and safe decontamination, sterilisation, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment Ensuring compliance with AS5369 standards and best practice guidelines Supporting the workflow of the CSSD through teamwork, communication, and attention to detail Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety What You Bring To be successful, you will have: Certificate III in Health – Sterilising Practice for Technicians (or equivalent) Minimum 1 year of experience in a CSSD environment Strong understanding of AS5369 standards and sterilisation processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Well-developed planning, organisational, and analytical abilities Strong computer literacy skills A commitment to ongoing learning, improvement, and Calvary’s mission of compassionate care A customer-focused, team-oriented attitude Your Benefits Salary packaging (NFP), discounted health insurance, and gym memberships Paid parental leave Training, development pathways, and career progression opportunities Flexible working arrangements to support work–life balance Why Calvary?
