About the Opportunity A leading, progressive national firm with a thriving Corporate practice is seeking a talented Corporate Associate who is ready to take the next step and grow into a Senior Associate role. You will work directly with experienced Partners who are highly regarded, hands on, and deeply invested in developing their lawyers. The Work You will manage a broad and high quality corporate practice, including: Private & Public M&A: Share/asset sales, due diligence, negotiation and drafting of SPAs and APAs Corporate Advisory: Structuring, shareholder agreements, governance matters, directors’ duties Regulatory & Compliance: Corporations Act, AFSL obligations, ASX Listing Rules Commercial Contracts: Supply, distribution, services agreements, and joint venture arrangements Key Responsibilities Taking increasing carriage of files, with Partner supervision and guidance Drafting and negotiating transaction documents and complex commercial agreements Delivering clear, commercially focused advice to clients Managing due diligence and transaction workflow Building relationships with clients and stakeholders Collaborating across corporate, tax, and other practice groups Contributing to team culture, mentoring junior lawyers (where appropriate) What We're Looking For 3 years PQE in corporate/M&A, commercial, or transactional work Strong drafting and negotiation skills with solid technical foundations A proactive, solutions oriented approach and strong attention to detail Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to seek input Positive energy, eagerness to learn, and a genuine growth mindset Someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative and supportive team Why You’ll Love This Role A genuine pathway to Senior Associate and beyond Structured career development programs and regular check-ins Work with Partners who are energetic, progressive, and committed to mentoring Flexible working options, including WFH Strong social culture and internal events Supportive parental leave policy and wellbeing initiatives Professional development programs and mentoring Equity opportunities at senior levels Modern, collaborative office environment with tech-forward facilities About the Team Culture The Corporate team is known for being collaborative, energised, and supportive.
