POSITION : Cook TYPE : Full-time Permanent, HOURS : 38 Hrs Per week LOCATION : Bungendore NSW SALARY : $75K - $80K per annum Established in 1885, our Client, The Carrington Inn is a historic landmark in Bungendore, NSW, renowned for its rich heritage and exceptional hospitality. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. The Carrington Inn has been a cornerstone of the Bungendore community for over a century, offering guests a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort. Our culinary team is committed to delivering wholesome and delightful dining experiences that leave a lasting impression. Job Description: As a Cook you will be responsible for delivering top-tier culinary experiences across various sections of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be creative, possess a deep understanding of flavor profiles, and be committed to delivering outstanding food that meets our high standards. Key Responsibilities Inspecting food items to maintain quality standards Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances Preparing and cooking various dishes Seasoning food during the cooking process Portioning meals, plating dishes, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes Storing food in temperature-controlled environments Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary needs May plan menus and estimate ingredient requirements May supervise and train kitchen staff and apprentices. Requirements Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications including at least two to three years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Cook, ideally within a comparable restaurant.
