Supply Chain Lead We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic customer focused go-getter to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team in Gisborne, Victoria . Approx. 1 hour north of Melbourne. The Concrete Batcher has excellent career development potential with the opportunity to learn about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling, and logistics whilst working in the construction industry. Candidates from all industries (i.e., hospitality, logistics, agriculture, supply chain, commerce, fast food, manufacturing, mining, health) are encouraged to apply – we’re just looking for great people with a positive can-do attitude… we’ll teach the rest! If you do have batching or concrete experience that’s great but it is not a pre-requisite. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with early morning starts, and rostered Saturday work according to business needs. In your new role with us, you will be: Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant Operating a front-end loader (FEL) Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries Working in a high performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Heidelberg Materials and the customer Able to demonstrate safety and show coach and mentoring potential Ensure all products adhere to strict quality requirements Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required Managing maintenance & production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling This role is a great fit for you, if you: Are looking for a career change and want to work in the construction industry Have the drive to succeed, can work and without supervision Are an effective communicator and have a team mentality Seek a flexible roster that includes Saturday work and reasonable overtime Are looking to obtain a Construction Card / White Card Front end loader experience preferred Are able to operate with and support our Zero Harm safety policy Can physically perform all tasks associated with the position What we offer: Great hourly rate starting at $30.35, with higher rates, up to $33.36/hour, depending on experience and competency level. Monday - Friday rostered Saturday mornings finishing up around lunch time.
