Location: Sydney CBD, NSW Salary Package: $170-$180K Super & Bonus Role highlights: Strategic Commercial Finance Manager role in a fast growth business Role Overview Exclusive to Reo Group and reporting to the CFO with close partnership with Channel leads, Head of Manufacturing & Chief Commercial Officer, this role is the commercial finance heartbeat of the business. You'll build the FP&A function from scratch, establish commercial gatekeeping that didn't previously exist, and become the trusted advisor ensuring every growth opportunity is profitable. As the organisation onboards major retailers like Woolworths and Walmart, you'll present P&Ls to retail partners, lead range reviews, assess NPD launches, and ensure commercial decisions create win-win partnerships. You'll own the S&OP process globally, working with channel leads and inventory teams to ensure stock levels support growth without tying up working capital. Beyond the commercial partnering, you'll transform data chaos into clarity. An incredibly high bar has been set through the creation of company-wide Power BI dashboards that everyone now depends on. You'll continue this legacy, identifying system gaps, optimising where you can, and deliver analytics that drive decision-making at the executive level. This is a hands-on, standalone role for the first 12 months with weekly touchpoints to the CFO. You'll be in the weeds while thinking strategically. As the business matures, you'll build your own team with potential for significant expansion Responsibilities Build FP&A Function from Scratch Deliver annual budgets with bottom-up three-way models (B/S, Cashflow, P&L). Prepare presentations for the Senior Leadership Team. Undertake regular reforecasting and build budget plans with market heads. Introduce ROI metrics around marketing and strategic investments. Commercial Gatekeeping and Business Partnering Partner with Chief Commercial Officer and channel leads to assess commercial opportunities and filter unprofitable growth. Lead range reviews with Woolworths, Walmart, and other retail partners. Conduct NPD commercial business case reviews and assist Chief Growth Officer in gatekeeping new product launches. Own S&OP Process Globally Represent finance in demand forecast sign-offs globally. Run meetings with channel leads and head of inventory. Introduce initiatives to reduce inventory exposure and optimize working capital. Advanced Analytics and Insights Provide accurate analysis and reporting of Sales and COGS in monthly CFO packs for each market and segment. Conduct product-level profitability and volume-mix analysis. Work with CFO to assess and implement the right BI tools. Systems Transformation Systemise Actuals vs Forecast vs Budget reporting. Identify and fix data structure gaps. Strategic Finance Support Assist CFO in managing FX risk exposures and develop hedging strategy. Analyse and optimise banking platforms and fees. Develop long-term financial valuation models. Partner on sales and commission plan design. Candidate Profile You're a progressive finance professional who's built your career in FMCG or product-led businesses. You've been there, done that with retail partnerships and S&OP, and you thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where no two days are the same. You're not just technically brilliant - you're commercially savvy. You understand how to turn data into stories that influence decision-making. You can present to CEOs and retail partners with confidence, simplifying complexity and driving action. Power BI is your playground. You've built dashboards from scratch, mined data from imperfect sources, and created analytics infrastructure that becomes mission-critical. Advanced Excel and financial modelling are second nature. Most importantly, you're entrepreneurial and self-directed. You don't need to be told what to do - you identify gaps, create solutions, and drive outcomes. You're comfortable with ambiguity and bring structure without perfectionism. You value speed over bureaucracy and results over politics. This isn't a role for those who need hierarchy, process, or hand-holding.
