Take Two provides a range of therapeutic services for infants, children and young people who have suffered trauma, neglect and disrupted attachment, and contributes to the service system that provides care, support and protection for these children. The Restoring Childhood Program sits within the Take Two service and is part of a consortium funded by the Victorian Government to provide therapeutic services to victim survivors of family violence. In the Central Highlands, the Consortium is a partnership comprises of Berry Street, WRISC Family Support and Ballarat Community Health Service. Mt Helen Location on Wathawurrung Country Part time (0.7 FTE), Fixed term until 30 June 2025 $103k pa (pro rata) Super & Salary Packaging About the Role The Restoring Childhood Model (RCM) has been funded by the Victorian Government providing therapeutic services to children and young people impacted by family violence. Grounded in evidence informed practice, the RCM will involve specialist intake & triage, supported referrals and secondary consultations and medium term counselling. The role will involve working across the broader Restoring Childhood program and also the MI Village program. MI Village is a voluntary program supporting caregivers, infants, and young children who have experienced family violence. Managed by Berry Street, MI Village provides trauma-informed, early intervention through residential properties and community referrals, helping caregivers and young children rebuild safety, confidence, and healthy relationships. We provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for victim survivor families. Berry Street's Restoring Childhood Program is Rainbow Tick accredited Learn more about The Take Two Approach : https://youtu.be/Aj1N-I-Vvm0 The Clinician will: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, managing a complex caseload and meeting targets. Assess therapeutic readiness and develop therapeutic plans for own cases aligning with trauma-informed frameworks and the Restoring Childhood Case Flow document. Undertake intake activities, including pre-referral consultations, assessments, and brief interventions for families as required. Facilitate and participate in case reviews and reflective practice sessions, focusing on recovery, attachment and the impacts of trauma and family violence to guide effective interventions. Collaborate and build relationships with internal teams, consortium partners, and stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery and program outcomes. Maintain high standards of client documentation and data compliance, ensuring timely reporting Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to program success through flexibility, collaboration, and problem-solving. Contribute to program development, quality improvement, and innovation initiatives, leveraging clinical expertise to enhance service outcomes and support program targets. Please see the position description for detailed key responsibilities About You You will have a Bachelor degree level or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field such as Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, Speech Pathology or related discipline.
