Role details The Nursing Services (Rural) at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Rural Generalist) to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Proserpine Hospital (General Wards, Emergency Department and Theatres). About the Team The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities, The Community Health Campus - Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus - Proserpine. The hospital is a 35-bed acute hospital which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of community health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team. The Whitsunday Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Shire, Midge Point and Bloomsbury.
