Role details The Nursing Services at the Sarina Hosptial is seeking applications for a Clinical Midwife (Community Health) to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity The Clinical Midwife provides midwifery services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The Clinical Midwife provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing/midwifery care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing/ midwifery staff. About the Team The new Sarina Hospital opened in early-2024 and has a 19-bed inpatient ward with outpatient services and an emergency department. Inpatients are a combination of rehabilitation, slow stream rehabilitation, maintenance, palliative, voluntary alcohol detox and acute & sub-acute patients. Sarina Hospital is now a digital facility with the implementation of ieMR a part of the hospital redevelopment. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
