About the Role: Queensland Pathways State College Mount Isa Campus is part of the Department of Education, committed to providing high-quality, inclusive, and engaging learning environments for all students. Your Role: * Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming learning and work spaces. * Clean and sanitise classrooms, offices, toilets, and common areas. * Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and care for floors and surfaces. * Remove rubbish, debris, and control cobwebs or graffiti. * Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Responsibilities include, but not limited to; * Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors, and cupboards. * Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities, sick bays, and other designated areas. * Cobweb and mildew control using extendable equipment as necessary; sweeping, vacuuming, and vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping, and polishing. * Disposal of rubbish, litter control, and removal of debris from drains, gutters, and paved surfaces. * Liaising with the Principal/Business Manager regarding cleaning materials, reporting safety, security, and damage concerns, and carrying out other appropriate cleaning duties as directed. About You: * Demonstrated experience in cleaning and facility maintenance, including attention to detail and high standards of hygiene. * Ability to take initiative and personally complete tasks to a high standard. * Strong time management and reliability, with the ability to work across varied tasks and areas. * Good communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with school staff.
