The key duties of the position include The SES Band 2 Chief Information and Digital Officer is a pivotal leadership role within Austrade, tasked with driving strategic digital transformation and overseeing the effective delivery of technology services. This role provides visionary leadership to ensure Austrade can drive digital innovation, enable the achievement of business objectives and deliver value to stakeholders. The Chief Information and Digital Officer is accountable for developing and executing Austrade's digital and technology strategy, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, and ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of all digital services and platforms. The Chief Information and Digital Officer is responsible for: 1. Strategic Leadership • Developing and implementing Austrade's digital and technology strategy aligned to organisational priorities. • Providing advice to the Executive on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and innovation. • Championing a culture of client-focused digital solutions and continuous improvement. 2. Digital Engagement • Enhancing Austrade's digital presence and channels to improve reach and engagement with clients and stakeholders. • Overseeing the development and optimisation of digital platforms, including websites, client portals, and the CRM system. • Using data and analytics to inform service design and monitor client outcomes. 3. Technology and Infrastructure • Ensuring Austrade's global IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable. • Leading technology operations, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and compliance with relevant standards. • Driving the adoption of modern digital tools, cloud services, and collaboration platforms to support global operations. 4. Leadership and Collaboration • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing global team of digital and IT professionals. • Building strong partnerships across business areas to ensure technology initiatives support operational and strategic goals. • Managing relationships with external providers, vendors, and government stakeholders to ensure value-for-money outcomes.
