We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead the dining experience at our Elizabeth Gardens Residential Aged Care Home in Burwood. About the Role As Chef Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to stock management and team leadership. You’ll ensure that every meal meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and nutrition — while supporting resident choice, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences. Your leadership will foster a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork, safety, innovation, and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor kitchen and food services staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Plan and prepare nutritious, appealing meals in line with dietary guidelines and Aged Care Quality Standards. Manage kitchen budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships. Oversee compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Collaborate with clinical and lifestyle teams to support individual resident needs and special occasions. About You Qualified Chef with Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Proven experience leading a kitchen team — ideally in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality. Strong understanding of modified diets, allergens, and food safety standards. Passionate about creating homely, nutritious meals that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
