Sydney (other locations to be considered) $97,401- $115,820 (depending on experience), plus 15.4% superannuation Permanent role Applications close at 11:59 pm AEDT, Tuesday, 18 November 2025 The team The Enterprise Services Group consists of four teams including Finance, Procurement, Property and Contracts, Performance Reporting and Planning and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. The Group provides a range of support, advice and analysis services across ASIC. As a Category Officer, you will be required to: Provide expert advice on the PGPA Act and government procurement framework. Bring a strong understanding of the professional services category, including key trends and supplier markets relevant to government procurement. Demonstrate government procurement experience, particularly with the Management Advisory Services Panel (MAS) and People Panel arrangements. Support stakeholders to deliver compliant, value-for-money procurement outcomes. Lead end-to-end procurement, including risk assessment, documentation, supplier engagement, and contract management. Review procurement documents and consult with legal specialists as needed. Offer probity and process advice throughout procurement and continuously improve procurement processes and systems. The key duties of the position include About you To excel in this role, you'll bring hands-on experience supporting the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy and planning through to negotiation and contract management. A solid understanding of government procurement policies, frameworks, and probity requirements is essential, along with experience working within the professional services category and familiarity with the Management Advisory Services (MAS) and People Panels. The ability to resolve procurement challenges and manage projects effectively will be highly regarded. You'll also need a strong customer focus, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Building positive stakeholder relationships, working independently, and simplifying complex concepts to influence decision-makers will set you up for success.
