About the team The APS Academy works to ignite a culture of learning and enable APS people, teams and organisations to have the fundamental capabilities to excel as a high performing, skilled and connected one-APS workforce. To assist with enhancing the capability of the APS workforce, we: Build capability through practitioner-led approaches to developing the APS Craft and enable APS people and teams to share knowledge and networks to collaborate Provide access to leading learning and development programs, resources and experiences across the APS Maximise the impact of learning and development expertise and investment in the APS Leverage and connect key networks and stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice Engage, grow, retain and deploy one-APS talent and capability in a purposeful way. The key duties of the position include Working to the Director of the Academy Operations and Delivery team, Facilitators: Deliver APS Academy courses and programs, face to face and virtually, to diverse groups employed in the Australian Public Service, focussing on Australian Public Service Craft skills including policy development, integrity, working in partnership, service delivery and specialist courses for Senior Executive Service (SES). Contribute to an uplift in APS Craft capability. Monitor and evaluate learning outcomes, perceptions and relevance of APSC learning and development services to continuously improve value. Work closely with the APS Academy to ensure continuous improvement of course offerings. Provide a professional and high-quality service to APS Academy participants. We are looking for casual facilitators with extensive APS experience to deliver a wide range of subject matter to an APS and SES audience through face to face and virtual course deliveries. We look to align the professional experience of facilitators with the courses they deliver. Working with the Academy is an engaging way to continue to make a contribution towards capability development in the APS. For some courses facilitators will work in collaboration with a current APS Practitioner (subject matter expert). Casual facilitators are employed by the APSC and deliver professional development courses to the APS on behalf of the APS Academy. Casual facilitators are renumerated at the EL1 level to deliver one, two or three day workshops on an intermittent basis. Casual facilitators will be required to work towards performance goals through regular feedback from the AOD team to ensure Academy courses are delivered to the highest standard to maintain the Academy's reputation as a leader in the APS learning ecosystem.
