Your new role: As the Business Support Officer, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality financial, accounting and administrative support across the Community & Oral Health Finance team. Your responsibilities include: * Undertaking financial management activities including ledger reviews, bank reconciliations, invoice coding/approvals, goods receipting, journal preparation, payroll adjustments and asset register maintenance. * Assisting in the preparation of monthly internal management reports including financial, activity and statistical data. * Reviewing financial transactions and completing monthly reconciliations of clearing accounts, including follow-up actions. * Using systems such as S/4HANA, DSS, Excel and PowerBI to support business operations and development initiatives. * Responding to complex customer enquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. * Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies and systems. * Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. * Supporting continuous improvement by reviewing systems, processes and work practices and recommending enhancements. * Ensuring inclusive, respectful and safe service delivery aligned with organisational quality and safety standards. About you: To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong financial administration background and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. You will demonstrate your suitability through: * Demonstrated experience using financial systems (e.g. S/4HANA) including raising purchase requisitions and purchase orders. * Strong communication and negotiation skills, enabling effective customer engagement and relationship building. * Ability to analyse information, solve problems and develop practical solutions within required timeframes. * Well-developed organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and produce accurate results. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) including creating pivot tables, presentations and simple data analyses. * Technical understanding of financial management policies, procedures and organisational record-keeping requirements. * A relevant qualification in Accounting or Business (highly regarded but not mandatory). * Current Class C driver licence. * Compliance with mandatory VPD vaccination requirements.
