Business Support Officer * Salary: $79,122 - $96,073 (Plus Superannuation) * Ongoing, full-time role (flexibility may be available) * Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available) The Role Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Information Technology and Workplace Services, the Business Support Officer provides high quality administrative and contract management support to the Office of the Executive Director, Information Technology and Workplace Services, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and effective contract administration. Main accountabilities: * Provide proactive administrative support to the Executive Director, IT&WS including diary and inbox management to ensure seamless office operations * Effectively manage day-to-day business processes by triaging incoming correspondence and flagging urgent priorities to support the Senior Advisor * Assist with the lifecycle of branch contracts by tracking key dates (renewals, deliverables, expiries), preparing contract management plans and updating the contract register * Prepare and circulate contract templates, amendments and extension paperwork The Team The position of Business Support Officer forms a part of the Information Technology & Workplace Services branch within the within the Corporate Services group. The Corporate Services group consists of specialist functions including strategic communications, finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and emergency management. About You The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Working Collaboratively: Proven ability to effectively manage and support departmental executive functions demonstrating multi-tasking, utilisation of departmental and business processes and doing so in a collaborative manner. * Flexibility & Adaptability: Well-developed organisational and planning skills. Able to operate independently within given guidelines and timeframes, manage competing priorities and support the workflow of other staff within the branch. * Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
