Business Continuity Analyst (BCP/BIA) 6-Month Contract | $700 - $800/day | Melbourne (Hybrid) About the Organisation Talenza is partnering with a major industrial organisation undergoing a critical uplift of its business continuity capability. Operating across large, complex environments, the business is now investing in stronger resilience planning and requires a hands-on Business Analyst to help shape and deliver key BCP and BIA outcomes. About the Role You'll play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's continuity and recovery preparedness. This is a highly practical, delivery-focused role where you will work directly with operational SMEs to translate raw information into structured, actionable continuity artefacts. You'll be responsible for developing and refining continuity plans, running targeted sessions to close information gaps, and ensuring both functional and system-level plans meet the organisation's risk and resilience requirements. This role will suit someone who thrives in environments with limited structure, enjoys building clarity from scratch, and can confidently progress work with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across multiple operational areas. Consolidate SME commentary, technical input and process knowledge into clear, practical continuity documentation. Produce concise, high-quality artefacts including BCP narratives, impact analysis summaries, dependency maps and recovery procedures. Drive BCP workstreams end-to-end, ensuring both functional and system-specific plans are captured and validated. Run short workshops and targeted stakeholder interviews to fill gaps and confirm assumptions. Identify critical processes, upstream/downstream dependencies and feasible workarounds. Support uplift of continuity maturity by introducing structure, templates and practical guidance. Partner closely with risk, IT, operations and business leads to ensure alignment with organisational standards. Push delivery forward in a low-maturity environment, maintaining momentum and clarity. Present findings clearly to functional leaders and ensure documentation is ready for audit or assurance checks. About You Strong experience working on business continuity, resilience or operational risk initiatives. Background in business analysis with exposure to large operational environments (industrial, utilities, waste, logistics, manufacturing or similar). Skilled at extracting information from SMEs and converting it into structured, usable plans. Confident documenting processes, dependencies and recovery pathways. Comfortable engaging senior and frontline stakeholders through focused interviews or mini-workshops. Pragmatic, outcomes-driven and able to independently progress work. Nice to have: Melbourne-based, though hybrid/remote options will be considered for strong candidates.
