Learn more about how we deliver excellence for our customers and colleagues at DXC.com. We are seeking a motivated Senior Solution Architect for Azure to join DXC’s Azure Professional Services team. The DXC Azure Professional Services team enables customers’ digital transformation journeys with best practices, innovation, and technical leadership for the adoption of Microsoft Azure services. You will work as a member of the DXC Azure team and be responsible for leading client design engagements and providing advice / technical consulting to our customers in adopting Azure. In addition, you will contribute to developing standards and accelerators for the architecture, design and delivery of Azure services in DXC. You will also support DXC Azure offering and service delivery teams with guidance on applying these best practices. The successful candidate will be Sydney based and have minimum baseline clearance in place, ideally NV1. Responsibilities: Delivery of Azure technical consulting engagements for DXC customers, including reference architecture definition and MVP implementation Technical leadership in architecture, development and deployment of Azure-based solutions for DXC customers and offering teams Provide Design and architectural ownership of Azure Solution Architectures comprising Azure Platform Technologies by extracting customer business and technical requirements and designing in adherence to Microsoft Best Practices and Customer Standards. Present Azure Solution Architectures to Customers and participate in technical and design review workshops. Provide end-to-end technical oversight for the design and implementation of Azure Technical Solutions Develop IP, best practices and knowledge assets to be re-usable and shared across DXC. Develop detailed and accurate documentation (high-level designs, detailed designs, PowerPoint presentations) for Architecture artefacts based on functional and non-functional requirements, current/target state analysis and customer objectives. Participate in providing mentoring support and guidance to team members to help grow the skills and capabilities of Azure services and offerings. Actively contribute to a high performance, innovation and continuous improvement culture. Education and experience: 10 years of experience in architecting, developing and deploying enterprise applications, with Microsoft technology stack preferred. 2 years of experience in designing and deploying solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform and experience in workload migrations. Experience with public cloud platforms, including design, implementation and workload migration. Application architecture and development experience preferred. Microsoft Azure certification is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requirements Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including understanding their capabilities and limitations and being able to architect and deliver solutions leveraging various Azure platform services Appropriate certifications in Azure and associated MS technologies Strong understanding of the cloud architecture patterns and solution design principles Strong understanding of different attributes for cloud application availability, scalability and ability to propose optimized design for cloud Have experience in implementing enterprise applications using cloud platforms. Experienced in working in agile/DevOps environment with continuous integration and continuous deployment and application lifecycle management. Excellent articulation and communication skills.
