About the role: Reporting to the 5D Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties for the role will include: Monitoring patient care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in undertaking ward management responsibilities eg PRD, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Act as a resource person on the ward based on knowledge, experience and skills About you: Demonstrated competence in Surgical nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
