Description Support credit simplification and regulatory engagements across CIB Collaborate with teams to improve lending processes and risk transparency Be a key contributor to strategic credit initiatives and technology enhancements, including development of AI capabilities in the credit process. What’s the role? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Associate / Senior Associate to join our Credit & Capital team within Westpac Institutional Bank. You’ll help support regulatory compliance and improve how we manage credit risk across the business, including the simplification of the credit policy framework. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the 1 st line central credit function, leveraging data, systems, and engaging stakeholders to make the process smarter and more efficient. You’ll be a key part of a team that’s driving change and helping the business meet its credit and capital obligations. This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney. What do I need? To thrive in this role, you’ll need: An understanding of credit risk in institutional or commercial banking Familiarity with regulatory standards like APS 220, 221, 112, and 113 Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams Confidence working with systems and data to support decision-making Desire to be involved in simplifying processes and transforming the credit journey in WIB.
