About the opportunity The Assistant in Nursing is responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner as a member of The Parklands team. This role works under the direction of the of the Registered Nurse and this may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse to assist in achieving service goals. (NG1) * 5 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading * Locality and uniform allowance * 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation * Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available Requirements: * Highly Desirable: Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable: * Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent, or * Successful completion of the first semester full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies, or * Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing course * Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on-call roster. * National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or a NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld). * This is a VPD risk role.
