The key duties of the position include The DTA's Whole-of-Government Contracts Branch is looking to fill an EL1, Assistant Director position. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for Whole-of-Government initiatives, including the ERP Category within the Software and ERP Marketplace. The Assistant Director will engage with agency buyers and industry sellers to achieve ERP objectives and contribute to broader program activities across the Branch and the DTA. A strong technical background and deep understanding or keen interest in ERP is desirable, along with experience in procurement or contract management. Please note: These roles may require interstate travel from time to time if the location is other than Canberra. Key duties: Provide expert advice on ERP solutions, procurement strategies, contract management, and risk mitigation for government or large organisations. Deliver strategic insights and actionable recommendations to support ERP implementation, organisational objectives, and compliance with policies and standards. Lead ERP category management within the Software and ERP Marketplace panel, ensuring governance, supplier performance, and alignment with procurement frameworks. Drive efficient procurement outcomes through strong oversight, stakeholder engagement, and market activities such as panel refreshes and seller onboarding. Oversee supplier performance reporting, license compliance, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence to ensure contractual obligations and standards are met. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration to streamline procurement and support digital transformation. Manage a small team and coordinate cross-functional groups to achieve high performance and integration across the organisation.
