Our client is a firmly established and reputable Australian organisation, with subsidiaries across wholesale/distribution, retail and hospitality. Our client is eager to provide mentorship and development to a motivated Assistant Accountant, with a solid progression pathway. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, this role will gain exposure across AR/AP before moving into Month End close. Your responsibilities will include: Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable duties - Cash receipting - Assisting with Debtors - Learning how to use the ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics and Excel formulas - Daily / Weekly reporting (cashflow) Month End duties - Posting journal entries - Performing Balance Sheet Reconciliations - Updating the General Ledger - Working collaboratively on ad-hoc reporting tasks as requested by the Senior Accountants and Financial Controller To be considered in your application, you be degree qualified or have 6-12 months accounting experience, ideally looking to commence your CA/CPA. You will be ambitious to establish your career in Finance and enjoy hands-on mentorship and development. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication, as your ability to engage with internal stakeholders will be pivotal to your success.
