We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Prepare technical drawings, plans, and layouts for architectural projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, based on architectural and engineering specifications. Use CAD and BIM software (such as AutoCAD and Revit) to produce, modify, and update detailed architectural drawings and documentation in accordance with project and regulatory requirements. Interpret design concepts, sketches, and site measurements to create accurate architectural plans and construction documentation. Ensure all designs and drawings comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and local building regulations. Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and builders to integrate structural, mechanical, and environmental details into the architectural design. Prepare comprehensive documentation packages, including drawings, material schedules, and specifications, to support development applications, tendering, and construction phases. Review and update drawings to reflect design revisions, site conditions, and client feedback. Support project coordination by monitoring documentation progress and ensuring deliverables are submitted accurately and on time. Assist with material and quantity take-offs to support project cost planning and design development. Maintain well-organised and up-to-date drawing registers and design records in line with office and quality assurance standards. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. A minimum of one year experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or a similar role. Strong technical drawing and design skills. Excellent understanding of building materials, construction methods, and building regulations. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $90,000 - $130,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
