How you’ll make an impact The Analyst, Investment Compliance ensures the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of AMP’s investment portfolios, creating value for customers through operational excellence. You will support the Portfolio Operations & Compliance team in delivering high-quality service, driving process improvements, and collaborating across investment, risk, legal, and technology teams to resolve issues and implement best practices. The role also involves developing and maintaining robust procedures and controls, overseeing investment restrictions and limits, and managing middle office services provided by custodians, including derivative reporting. You’ll make an impact by: Provide critical support to the Portfolio Operations & Compliance team, including trade management assistance, prompt query resolution, and effective stakeholder liaison (service providers, clients, brokers, custodians). Oversee daily monitoring of investment compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant pre- and post-trade limits, restrictions, and investment guidelines across all asset classes and investment structures. Ensure compliance with all governing documents (e.g., Investment Management Agreements, Derivative Risk Statements, Trade Management Policies, market/jurisdictional controls), including monitoring and reporting on exposure limits and restrictions. Manage end-to-end breach processes, including reporting, rectification, and resolution in line with AMP Investments’ obligations and governance standards. Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Dealers to provide real-time support and resolution for pre-trade compliance issues. Support change management initiatives, including new account setups and amendments, by interpreting, coding, and testing compliance rules within BlackRock Aladdin. Actively contribute to projects, partnering with BlackRock and IT to address complex monitoring requirements and leverage technology solutions. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and leverage automation and emerging technologies. Contribute to a positive risk culture through rigorous control testing, timely escalation and reporting of risk events, strong preventative measures, and clear communication with senior management. What you will bring to the team Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant professional role within the financial services industry, demonstrating strong operational and compliance expertise. Experience in multi-layered investment structures is highly desirable. Comprehensive understanding of the investment management sector, including direct oversight and management of external service providers (e.g., custodians, clearers, brokers). Extensive, hands-on experience using BlackRock Aladdin for both portfolio operations and compliance monitoring in investment management or funds administration environments. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and incident management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively presenting complex information to diverse stakeholders. Proven experience working closely with investment teams and dealers, supporting both operational and monitoring functions. In-depth understanding of domestic and international financial markets, covering all asset classes. Demonstrated ability to succeed in fast-paced, client-focused settings and foster collaborative, high-performing team cultures.
