About the role To provide relief assignments for planned/unplanned leave for administration officers within Specialist Outpatient & Ambulatory Services to enable the continuation of the provision of administrative support and functions to staff, patients and visitors to facilitate effective clinical service delivery. Providing an efficient booking service for all patients and provide efficient utilisation of booking time available for Consultants and Clinicians. This position provides a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive attitude. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: * Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above. * Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Queensland Health Specialist Outpatient Implementation Standards (SOSIS). * This position will provide administrative support to services in Specialist Outpatient & Ambulatory Services such as Outpatient Reception/s, Outpatient Call Centre, Booking services, Oncology, Antenatal and Allied Health services. * This position requires a high level of flexibility and varies regularly according to daily operational requirements. * Proficiently complete functions associated with the bookings for procedures/appointments, managing procedure/appointment cancellations, confirmations, rescheduling and removals from the waiting list/clinics using the relevant information systems ensuring alignment with the Implementation Standards and seeking involvement of Clinicians as necessary.
