About the role In this vital role, you'll deliver high-quality, culturally responsive primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes and advancing the NWHHS Health Equity Strategy. Your key responsibilities include: * Deliver clinical and health promotion services for Skin Health and Rheumatic Heart Disease. * Conduct assessments, education, and culturally appropriate care plans. * Collaborate with Gidgee Healing, GPs, and the Townsville Public Health Unit. * Lead community engagement and outreach across Gulf communities. Requirements * Successfully completed a Certificate IV Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) and / or Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health and holds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner Board of Australia (ATSIHPBA). * Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. * C Class Motor Vehicle Licence. * Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks. * This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis. * A period of probation may apply.
