Featuring a diverse and unique musical programme, mischievous roving theatrical performances, inspiring art installations and large, thematic stages.
All set to a backdrop of picturesque parkland, complete with lush green lawns and shady Palm trees to relax under.
An event filled with colour, movement, eye-catching décor and art, carnival rides, and boutique cocktail and food options, The Pleasure Garden will change you.

FAQs – TICKETING & ENTRY
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, all attendees must be over 18, unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. ID must be presented on the gate for entry to the grounds. The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron for any reason without refund.
Can I bring my kids and how do I go about this?
Children under 10 are FREE, Kids Tickets are for 10-14 years olds (inclusive), Teen Tickets are for 15-17 year olds (inclusive). Kids/Teen Tickets can ONLY be purchased when purchasing a full admission ticket. Please note that CHILDREN CANNOT ENTER ON A STANDARD TICKET, they must hold a teen or child ticket, this is a licensing requirement.
What time do the gates open?
The garden is open from midday until 10pm. Welcome to Country starts midday sharp.
When will we be kicked out of the garden?
10pm (unless you acting like a fool, in which case earlier!)
Do you accept Carers Cards?
Yes, we will provide a free ticket to a carer upon presentation of a valid carers card to email@example.com
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Please do not drive to the Pleasure Garden. There are very limited parking spaces in the area apart from the fact that it’s just not that good for the environment! There will no doubt be Booze Buses in the area after the Garden closes, so yet another reason to leave the car at home!
What’s the best Public Transport Options?
By far the best way to get there is using public transport.
TRAMS – Number 3, 12 and 96 trams all take your right to the front gate
BUSES & TRAINS – Use the PTV Journey Planner for the easiest way to get there from anywhere in Victoria! You can use “Catani Gardens” as a landmark in the “Going to” section.
What can I bring into the event?
Due to licensing restrictions, outside food and drink are not allowed into the venue. Sealed water bottles are okay. We are also okay with small folding chairs, and umbrellas.
Do I need to bring my printed ticket with me?
No, if you have a smartphone with the ticket PDF on it, you can bring that instead. But you must bring Photo ID (that matches the name on your ticket) Name changes and refunds will be accepted until the 9th of November.
What should I bring?
Photo ID – You must present you ID on entry to the Garden to validate your ticket and you age. Valid ID: an Australian Driver’s License; a Passport; or government issued Proof of Age Card
Sun protection – hat, shirt and sunscreen – because it’s summertime and its Melbourne
Wet-weather / cold-weather gear – because its summertime and its Melbourne!
Reusable water bottle – there will be free water filling points onsite and its part of our sustainability policy to help reduce packaging and resource use
What isn’t allowed into the event?
- Alcohol. • Illicit substances – any patrons detected in the possession of illegal substances within or around the vicinity of the event, will be removed or refused entry and referred to police. • Professional audio video recording devises. • BBQ‘s / Eskies / Selfie & Go Pro Sticks or Tripods. • Aluminum cans, glass / plastic bottles or metal / plastic containers. • Weapons, knives, scissors, laser pointers or any items deemed dangerous by security. • Promotional or advertising merchandise. • Pyrotechnics, fireworks, flares, highly flammable or explosive substances.

When will the artists be announced?
There will be several lineup announcements across music, arts, food and partners, for the latest info stay tuned to our Facebook, or signup to our Newsletter for more
Will there be more artists added to the lineup?
There are a few extra surprises up our sleeves, so stay tuned to our social accounts.
When will the artist playing time be released?
The full program of playing times will be available a few days before the festival. Please note that sometimes operations issues do force changes, but we will keep you in the loop!
Though we would suggest you arrive from midday for the Welcome to Country and Opening Parade!
Is the venue accessible for people with a disability?
Yes the site is fully accessible. Some of the lawns could get a little soft but there are hard gravel and concrete pathways throughout the garden. There will be viewing areas and accessible toilets at the first aid posts, ask our staff for any further assistance, they’ll be happy to help
Can I just throw stuff on the ground?
Please no! We have such lush site we hope that you treat it with the respect it deserves! There will be plenty of bins around the venue, please put your waste in the correct recycling or landfill stream.
Do I have to wear a wristband?
YES! You must wear your wristband at all times inside the garden. It is not transferable or replaceable, so take care.
Is there a cloak room?
No, but there will be lots of room for you to lounge around and enjoy the garden.
Will there be food for sale inside the Garden?
Yes we have a great selection of festival food vendors and food trucks who will be serving up a delicious banquet, including some who have won awards.
Is there an ATM onsite?
Yes, and the bars take card, as do some food traders
Can I stage dive, crowd surf or mosh in the Garden?
Sorry, we realise that you may be really skilled at these activities which bring great joy you friends and admirers, but no stage diving, crowd surfing or moshing is permitted. Any such activities may get you ejected from the Garden.
Will there be First Aid available?
Yes, we have a helpful and experienced festival first aid crew onboard which will be set up near each of the stages. The Garden Map will be released closer to the event date which will show this and others.
Is there a lost property area?
Yes, at the Info Tent

I’m in an awesome band that would love to play at The Pleasure Garden, how can we apply?
The line-up is all locked in for 2017, but stay tuned for the application process for 2018 early next year.
Can I have a market stall or food stall at the festival?
Yes! There are a limited number of Food and Market Stall places, to apply, email us firstname.lastname@example.org
