Our aim - to make Orange a better place to live today and tomorrow. Job/Responsibilities Council is currently seeking a Town Planner (Strategic) to join the Development Services Team. This position will participate in the review and preparation of Council’s key strategic planning documents for the City, including the preparation and review of Local Environmental Plans, Development Control Plans and Council policies.
The role will also undertake assessment of development applications of general and strategic nature and be responsible for providing advice on emerging planning issues and analysis of the local impact of State legislation and policy changes. View the full Position Description Here Skills/Experience To be successful in this position you will need to have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline Membership of Planning Institute Australia (or eligibility to obtain) Current Class C drivers licence Relevant experience in a similar role Working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, the Local Government Act and related planning and environmental legislation Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff, contractors, government agencies and the community relating to Development Assessment and Strategic Planning To apply, please click Apply.
