Inside Sales Engineer

Location Western Australia


Emerson is seeking to appoint an experienced Sales Engineer to effectively manage, promote and grow the sales of Rosemount Measurement Solutions within nominated customers and segments in the WA/NT region. Provide technical support & application assistance to our Field Sales Engineers throughout Western Australia and Northern Territory . This position will also be partnering up with the nominated key customers and industry groups where appropriate.

The key responsibilities include: Pro-actively build and maintain effective business relationships with nominated customers operating within the region. Provide a high level of customer contact via phone, email, video, WebEx and other digital media as well as occasional face to face (where appropriate): Respond to sales enquiries Provide quotations (either directly or via MANZAT/Proposals), follow up on quotations Generate new opportunities through customer dialog (predominately from the office but occasionally in the field) Develop and implement sales plans for the nominated customers and industries in the region. Review, evaluate and report on sales activities and initiatives Ensure there is a strong brand awareness within the nominated customer segment Support customers and service team with difficult applications pre-sale and post-sale as required Ensure technical assistance is provided to customers, sales team and internal support teams in an efficient, professional manner.

Requirements To be successful in this role you should have: Tertiary qualification in an engineering related discipline Proven sales experience in the process control industry (Field or Inside sales) Rosemount product experience (or other brands of similar products) Experience and understanding of sales budgeting and forecasting processes Experience interfacing with business systems (CRM, Office, Oracle, etc.) Emerson Product & Technical Experience Process Industry Experience Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of business drivers Good time management, strong interpersonal and sales skills (i.e.
