Quality Management System (QMS) LeadBayside Group Automotive
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable individual to join a reputable Defence company in the position of Quality Management System (QMS) Lead. The QMS Lead will be responsible for delivering an effective, efficient, and proactive Quality Management System to enable business success. This includes aligning QMS and operating elements together to achieve strategy in a practical manner; reporting on the QMS performance and opportunities for improvement; and raising overall organizational awareness of customer and regulatory requirements and their impact throughout the business.
Primary Duties: Establish the QMS & leading company to ISO certification Ensure the Management System conforms to customer, internal and external, (e.g. ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements Develop and execute the QMS strategy that is aligned with the overall strategy Responsible for managing this area through directing staff to complete agreed upon objectives Ensure that processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented, maintained, & audited Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation Lead company to ISO certification Proactively identify, develop, and deploy metrics to gauge the status and effectiveness of the Quality Management System Report to management on the performance of the QMS & any need for improvement Ensures clear, concise, & accurate policies, procedures, instructions, forms, & objectives are provided & maintained Coordinate the provision of training resources for QMS related programs Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
Provide this information on a timely basis so that clear future strategy can be mapped and achieved Lead and coordinate auditing of sub-contractor QMS Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in quality, business administration, engineering or related technical field Experience: 10 years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control Experience in leading and working with teams on major projects in a high tempo work environment Defence industry experience is essential Lead auditor certification or demonstrated experience Project Management certification or demonstrated experience Quality Assurance & Control related Certification (CQA) or demonstrated experience Proficient in MS Office In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards An appreciation of QMS and ERP synergies is beneficial but not essential To submit your application in strict confidence, click the 'apply' button.
