The function of the role is to be responsible for providing service to external and internal customers and support to outside sales, distributor networks and end users. Responsible for review of all customer purchase orders for accuracy and technical information and working with appropriate functional areas to meet specific requirements. Description Day to day duties: Provide customers (local and international) end users with technical and product data and support. Provide quotes, special pricing and logistical information. Provides support in resolving credit disputes and other information as requested by customers.
Provides strict attention to detail, including reading and understanding engineering drawings and blueprints including detail to tolerances. Reviews all customer quotes, purchase orders for overall accuracy. Process and expedite customer orders using the internal on-line business system.
Follow up on orders to ensure delivery out of the facility will be met as per specified dates. Communicates with and responds to customer enquiries via telephone, fax, email and post mail as appropriate. Servicing Customer enquiries and complaints including support to sales staff, distributors and end users.
Review customer purchase orders for accuracy, technical information, and working with appropriate functional areas to meet specific requirements. Treating customers and staff with a positive, professional and helpful attitude. Liaising with all facets of the business including order entry, logistics, invoicing, customer complaints, IT, quality and health & safety.
Take ownership of Customer issues and follow problems through to resolution. Promote the idea of excellent customer service throughout the organisation. Run the department in an efficient and profitable manner by planning, prioritising and delegating work tasks to ensure proper functioning within the department.
Update and further develop customer service procedures, policies and standards by identifying opportunities for improvement and leading change management. Keep accurate records and document customer service actions and discussions. Assisting with current backorders on hand in order to forecast EOM sales figures when required.
Monitor raw material stock levels and identify stock issues that will have a critical impact on the business. Maintain accurate job records. Profile The role requires a person who demonstrates interest, motivation and a good attitude to work.
