The Role As a WorkReady Consultant you will assist people with a disability to build their capacity and work towards achieving their goals, such as gaining employment or undertaking further education. This service focuses on utilising our strong networks and community links to create and develop vocational goals, life skills and source real-life work experience opportunities.
As the WorkReady service is guided by participants and their individual goals, you will work with participants to develop a personalised plan that is most beneficial and rewarding for them. A typical day as a WorkReady Consultant may include: Developing a person-centred plan with each participant Identifying employment and education goals Coordinating work experience placements Facilitating individual and group-based training sessions Coordinating and attending social events and excursions Proactively engaging with employers to secure opportunities for participants This role will be based in the Central Coast, mainly in Gosford and Wyong, with some travel required within the region. About You: To be successful as a WorkReady Consultant, prior experience in Employment Services, NDIS, education or youth work is highly desirable (but not essential).
If you have demonstrated experience in providing great customer service, meeting and exceeding KPIs and outcomes, and like working with people, then we would like to hear from you. Success in this role will also come from your natural ability to engage with a wide variety of external employers and providers to market your services to secure education and work opportunities for the participants you’re working with. Essential criteria: Understanding of person-centred approach Drivers licence (minimum P2) Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Ability to undergo satisfactory police check Strong administrative skill set NDIS knowledge is desirable Why Work for Us?
