A newly created role working for one of the best in the business specialises in Sports, Recreation or Leisure. Your new company This long standing client of mine is a small to medium sized and well-established studio who focus in the Sports, Recreation and Leisure environments, to both public and private sector clients. This multi-disciplinary studio also boasts a presence within the Healthcare, Aged-care, and Laboratories sectors.

This is a newly created position due to an exciting growth phase, and the director is looking for an Associate Director who is going to work side by side with them, take ownership and build their portfolios with a collaborative and competent team. Your new role The studio possesses the design capability, technical expertise and project delivery track record to consistently exceed their client’s requirements. However, they are seeking an Associate Director to elevate their overall design philosophy and brand to the next level.

This position is ideal for an experienced and highly experienced and competent Senior Project Architect or Senior Associate or Design Director with a proven track record of running projects end-to-end, strong business acumen and leadership qualities. You may be currently employed at a studio, and you are looking for an opportunity to advance or carve your name out within the industry. There is also intent to hold future discussions on becoming an equity partner or profit share of the practice.

What you'll need to succeed We want your passion, someone at a senior level who can run the business and be the fundamental (right-hand) person Work closely with the team across all projects to promotes an integrated design approach and philosophy Ideally you will have experience in these sectors: Sports, Leisure and Recreation; however not mandatory Build, nurture and foster new relationships within their existing client base Be the go to person for winning projects, lead the design strategy whilst providing design leadership for the practice Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to embrace sound business strategy Partner with Director to assist with the business trajectory and diversification 10 years of related experience in the Architecture industry What you'll get in return You are important You will join a studio who believes in meaningful local projects, a flat management structure with open lines of communication, and most importantly a steady team of people with a significant amount of transparency and work ethic.
