ABOUT THE ROLE: Mercy Health O’Connell Family Centre has partnered with MacKillop Family Services for the new Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program. The successful applicant/s will work in an outreach role with families of children aged 0 - 5 years in the Inner and Outer East areas of Melbourne. The multidisciplinary partnership team will provide an innovative wrap around service for at risk families.
The successful applicant/s must be skilled in providing targeted support for a family in a case management workload and engage with families to make positive life changes and build skills for independence. Fixed term 12-month position based at the MacKillop offices in Forest Hill 2 positions of 0.5EFT (One candidate may be considered for both positions for a Full Time role) ABOUT YOU: Qualification as an EN (Mothercraft Nursing) or Diploma in Early Childhood Minimum of five years experience working in community or home based services with young families Ability to engage with families at their particular developmental stage to provide an innovative wrap around service Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently Experience with and understanding of interventions and services that support families with complex interconnected needs Well-developed skills in risk and needs assessment ABOUT US Mercy Health O’Connell Family Centre is an early parenting centre located in Canterbury that focuses on the needs of vulnerable families and young children.
The residential, day and community programs provide child-focused parenting skills to promote safe child development. Services include residential, day stay, educational and group programs for families with children aged 0-4 years.
