Service Operations Manager - Institutional Service Management Exciting opportunity for a Service Operations Manager to join the Institutional Service Management Team in Group Tech. How will I help? The Service Operations Manager (SOM) manages the application support and maintenance for a portfolio of applications, ensuring high system availability, reliability and sustainability of the supported business services these applications underpin. Ensuring end-to-end stability and reliability of the applications while maximising application availability and customer experience.
The role is responsible for: Overseeing development of business recovery, disaster recovery & continuity plans and identification, management and timely resolution of incidents, problems and changes including collaboration with and coordination between internal and external stakeholders Managing the operational relationship with vendors in order to improve the quality of the GroupTech services delivered Identifying, managing and escalating as required application related risks to ensure appropriate risk exposure and fulfilment of regulatory obligations What’s in it for me? Significant experience in IT application development and/or support Track record of successfully leading teams to manage an application portfolio Experience contributing to business cases to assess investment, risk and cost control decisions Demonstrated knowledge and experience with implementing ITIL best practices Business Knowledge and understanding of the Institutional Risk and Regulatory requirements is preferable Exceptional stakeholder, supplier and vendor management and strong influencing skills Advanced interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills What’s it like to work with Westpac?
