We value genuine collaboration, providing meaningful contributions at every moment, and generally just being awesome at what we do The role: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Brisbane on a 3 day a week basis with the possibility of full time employment in the future. Ideally you will have an Accounting degree and/or CPA qualification with demonstrated general accounting experience. This role works closely with the Finance Manager and from time to time, there may be a requirement to step in and cover whilst they are on leave.
This role could suit someone wishing to return to work after an extended period of leave. Responsibilities include: Monthly management of accounts including Balance sheet & general ledger reconciliations. Prepare monthly reports.
Managing and maintaining chart of accounts. Variance analysis. Liaise with multiple business units to ensure financial reports reconcile and accurate Assist the Finance Manager with Budget and Forecast reporting process.
Completion of Annual financial statements. Depreciation Schedules (accounting vs taxation depreciation) Journals Accruals - preparation of month end ‘Work in Progress’ (WIP) entries/adjustments Other monthly or year end journal entries. Compliance Monthly PAYG & Quarterly BAS preparation and lodgement Monthly Payroll TAX preparation and lodgement Superannuation payment preparation and lodgement.
General Creating / maintaining Financial Procedure document (POCs). Ideally you will have: Accounting degree and/or CPA qualification General accounting experience in a similar role Experience with an accounting software tool, ideally XERO Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail Organisation & Communication skills Problem-solving skills Adaptability and flexibility to be able to work in a changing environment At Aginic we value diversity in our people and the ideas they bring to our team.
