The opportunity We currently have an opportunity for a Total Loss Motor Claims Officer available within our Claims business unit based in Parramatta. This role involves processing and settling Total Loss Motor, Fire & Theft insurance claims within our Short Tail Claims department. This is a full-time position working 7.
25 hours per day; however you will be rostered to work up to 7pm on a rotational basis during weekdays, 1 times per month. This is a fantastic opportunity not to be missed for Motor Claims professionals. Key role responsibilities include: The processing of total loss and complex claims in line with set procedures and policies, ensuring that claims are documented correctly, and resolved with a prompt and effective outcome Managing claims using the appropriate external and internal Recover and Salvage specialists to achieve the settlement outcome efficiently and effectively A continuing improvement focus attitude with the implementation of new work practices and procedures, initiating and facilitating change and innovations Ability to enhance and develop your own technical expertise and participate in professional development and training Ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service and develop a good working relationship with all customers and service providers.
Your story so far An understanding and exposure to claims handling and working in a fast-paced, high volume environment Experience in Motor Claims is desirable but not essential You will have strong computer literacy and possess an understanding of relevant Industry Legislation Strong Customer service skills and experience are essential.
