Providing free medical and surgical care for patients in the east metropolitan and Wheat belt regions, we provide a comprehensive range of services. Recruitment Pool opportunities are available for Advanced Scope Physiotherapists in order to credential a number Physiotherapists of the Allied Health Services Department within the hospital to the Advanced Scope positions.
Being the first point of contact for patients presenting to St John of God Midland Public Hospital these expert positions provide consultation, independent clinical assessment and triage functions, and determine appropriate treatment plans, independent of the Emergency Physician’s direction and functions as a musculoskeletal consultant for the medical, nursing and allied health team in the Emergency Department. It is essential for Applicants to hold a post graduate Physiotherapy qualification either at or above a Master’s level in order to be considered for these positions. These positions may be offered as fixed term part time contracts or on a casual basis.
The Successful Candidates Will Also Have A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. Demonstrated expert clinical skills, extensive experience, and high level independent clinical decision making ability, including experience working in first point of contact roles within a hospital setting. Demonstrated ability to apply and integrate evidence base and expert clinical reasoning skills in the delivery of best practice in an acute care setting.
Demonstrated high level communication skills including working within complex team structures and effectively negotiate, influence and maintain cooperative working relationships with external providers towards targeted outcomes. Demonstrated recency of ongoing clinical and professional development, quality improvement and research activities.
