About our team Liberty Primary Steel, a member of GFG Alliance, operates integrated steelworks which include ironmaking, steel making and rolling-mill facilities located in coastal Whyalla, approximately 400km from Adelaide. The successful candidate will coach, mentor and support their business unit and foster a strong and engaged H&S function. It will be about embedding key safety processes including reporting, safety ownership and responsibility, guiding the development and application of an integrated safety business model. You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects and make a difference.
It will be about building strong relationships, influencing change and educating. About your experience Our ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in OH&S.
A tertiary qualification in safety or science is highly desirable as is experience working in a metal processing environment. We are also after someone with operational experience and exposure to high risk environments. An understanding of the Safety, Health and Environment management system framework is important as is experience coaching and mentoring.
