About the Position Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance and Administration and working closely with Centacare’s Disability Services Unit, the Accountant - Disability Services will manage, oversee and claim for all NDIS supports and revenue. The purpose of the role is to maximise revenue generation capacity and timely recovery of funds utilising our current client data/revenue management system, Athena Penelope.

Some of the key duties in the role include: Build collaborative and productive relationships with all stakeholders including the NDIS, business unit leadership and frontline staff Process financial claims on a regular basis initially for the Disability Services Unit Identify areas for process improvement in order to reduce the causes in delays of claiming revenue Provide training to staff and teams and support them in meeting reporting requirements Undertake budgeting, planning and forecasting activities to support the Finance team with the completion of specific financial budgets/forecasts for business units About You To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria: Essential Criteria Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance role Minimum advanced diploma in Accounting/Commerce Excellent understanding of both financial and management accounting Highly ethical approach to client information, privacy and consent Experience using Accounting systems (Technology One Financials) and advanced Microsoft Excel Proven data analysis and reporting skills Understanding of auditing, along with a natural ability to identify key operational and control process improvement opportunities Experience in project management and training staff in new systems and procedures Excellent communication and relationship building skills Valid Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance).
