Aviagen Australia at times find ourselves seeking applications for Hatchery Assistant positions at our Goulburn facility which is responsible for hatching GGP and GP lines for our domestic and international customers. The roles would be on a Permanent Part-Time Basis, working for a minimum of 20 hours per week with hours increasing where business demands require. You will be working with state of the art machinery in the Incubation and Processing of day-old chicks.
The role is largely variable in assisting receiving and preparing eggs for incubation; incubating eggs, grading, preparing and shipping of day-old chicks with sanitization duties in the hatchery whilst meeting all quality, safety, welfare and biosecurity standards. To be considered for these roles you must possess: Enthusiasm to learn and a positive attitude to be an effective part of the Aviagen Australia team A proven track record of reliability, hard work and willingness to deliver and make a difference for our customers A willingness to learn and enthusiasm to grow and develop with the company Ability to perform repetitive tasks Own transport and drivers licence Experience in the poultry industry is preferable but not essential as complete on the job training is provided over a six month period.
