Therapy Assistants help improve the quality of life for every individual accessing aged care services with Juniper. We are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate about this vocation, to join the Allied Health team at our Juniper Cygnet facility, located in Bentley. In this role you will assist in the delivery of high quality therapy services, sharing responsibility for the well being of our residents and actively contributing to the development and implementation of programs which meet their physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs. On offer is a part-time position working 22.
5 hours per week on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Key Responsibilities of this role: Assist residents and aged care consumers with group and individual activity programs designed to stimulate cognitive ability Contributes to the evaluation of care plans Actively contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and balanced activity programs which meet the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of each individual. Assists therapists in maintaining/improving functional independence Completes therapy statistics on a daily basis Provides feedback to therapists on the outcome of interventions The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: Completion of a Certificate III in Allied Health (Highly Regarded) Experience working as a Therapy Assistant or Lifestyle Coordinator is desirable Experience working in the Aged Care Industry, in either community or residential Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, consumers, families and service providers Juniper is a leading provider of care, accommodation and support services for older Western Australians.
