Multiskilled Carer | Bentley (6 month contract)
What's on offer: $27.61 per hour PLUS applicable penalty rates Generous salary packaging options of $15,900 p/a 6 month contract covering extended leave Join a forward thinking, large aged care organisation We are currently seeking to recruit a compassionate, flexible and well experienced Multiskilled Carer to work at Juniper Charles Jenkins Transition Care, located in Bentley. This facility provides services and accommodation to 60 older adults awaiting permanent placement to residential care, or a return to health to enable them to live independently again in the community.
The purpose of this role will be to provide person centred care to our clients, to improve their quality of life whilst adhering to Juniper's core values, policies and procedures. You will be required to partner with clients, enabling them to fulfil their daily living, social and emotional needs. On offer is a 6 month contract position, 63.
75 hours per fortnight working morning and afternoon shifts (including weekends). Ongoing work may be available at the completion of this contract. Key Responsibilities of this role: Provide assistance to clients with their hygiene needs including; bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming and personal care.
Support the maintenance or restoration of clients' independence by providing assistance to engage in activities of interest and use mobility aids where required. Complete accurate and timely documentation and report information to relevant Nursing, Allied Health and Management as required. Maintain effective communication in the workplace, being respectful, open to change and kind in your approach.
Assist clients with the administration of correct medication in accordance with Juniper policies The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent / Cert III Aged Care) or relevant experience in the industry. Current First Aid Certificate (desirable) An understanding of aging and dementia Understanding of ACFI documentation (desirable) Experience working within a person centred, enabling environment Juniper is a leading provider of care, accommodation and support services for older Western Australians.
