With 196 beds, our dedicated team of medical specialists and experienced caregivers deliver compassionate care in a welcoming modern facility. Ward 2 West Medical/Cardiology Unit have vacancies for experienced Registered Nurses to join their dedicated and supportive team. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, These are rostered positions working a variety of shifts throughout the week and may be offered on a permanent part time, a 12 months fixed term part time contract or on a casual basis where all hours are negotiable.
Registered Nurses with experience in acute health care environments will be highly regarded. The successful candidates will have: A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the Unit/Department specialty. Effective communication and documentation skills. Commitment to on-going education and self directed learning.
Knowledge of Acts and legislation that impact on the practise of nursing. Ability to educate patients & junior staff on procedures. Ability to work flexibly within a team environment.
Ability to organise workloads, prioritise, delegate and meet timelines, Knowledge and skills of the principles of infection control. Flexibility with rostering to meet the changing needs of a dynamic environment.
