Australia-China Institute for Arts and Culture (ACIAC) has been established to promote art and cultural exchanges in Australia and between Australia and China, and the Sinosphere. ACIAC has developed many partnerships with art and culture organisations in Australia as well as international collaborations.
Apart from researches in ethnomusicology, digital publishing, translation studies, Chinese culture, intercultural diplomacy, Chinese Australian history, ACIAC runs Master of Cross-Cultural Relations. ACIAC has an important role in community engagement which includes holding art exhibitions, seminars and public events as well as working in partnerships with national and international organisations. An exciting opportuity exists for an Executive Assistant/Project Officer to join the team to work on a range of interesting projects in a dynamic, friendly and supportive environment.
In this position you will be responsible for providing a high level of support to the Director and the operations of the Institute. The role is critical support the Director to execute their obligations and achieve their high level objectives. In this role you will be required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the operations of the Institute.
The position provides not only executive support to the Director but also manages the workflow in the Institute including prioritisation of critical operational activities. You will be responsible for diary management, telephone and correspondence management, support of Board meetings, the reception of guests and visitors, the provision of word processing and document preparation support, and undertaking/managing ad hoc projects as required.
